class: illustration manual!

i haven't been posting much the hand made projects i made this year... i still have to take pics of last semesters work :S

so i thought i'd post this, the girl is a copy from one of the blogs i ADORE! but i did change the hair, sort of :/ i just couldn't do it as well as she did.

i painted with water colors and bare with me, i just started to get the hang of using watercolors.. not so easy as i thought.

i bet everyone has seen munnys being decorated in different styles and colors. and there is no surprise that in my photoshop class they would ask me to make one of my own.

Photoshop newbie!

so this is kind of the first time i'm really using Photoshop, i took some pathetic classes in school on it, learning the basics, but i still find it much more difficult than illustrator :P

i was cleaning out the junk saved on my laptop, and found this, designs created by my friends and me for a group project last semester. never got around to posting it, so now i will.

the project was: create a fashion brand and design what the paper work, choose the name, colors, target group and what style you're going to focus on.

so my team (Vale, Karo, Andrea and me) decided on the name Aklla, meaning chosen one (elegida), our compeny designs high fashion couture cloths with colors and inca symbols.

the finale project in Typography class, was to make an alphabet based on one of the old cultures that existed in Peru. i chose Chancay, they had lost of curves and not so much little details, like a thousens of dots etc.
here is the drawing i was inspired by and the cultures name in color. which where i based on the main palette they used (red, black, white)
